You can't stop them to watch what they like and understand. They like to watch Thai drama or Cartoon as they understand Thai language and this will be beneficial for them in the future to make good business with Thai people ( Forget about racist for god s"i"ck)

If you want to make these majority people back to watch Lao TV (which is the most boring programs both TV & Radio), Please come and help to broadcast some nice and interesting programmes then people will go back and follow our Lao TV everyday

Please read this. Most of these villagers don't get to watch TV because they don't have one. So when they see a TV and people watching it they are curious to what it is.

The worst thing to happen to a village farmer is the TV. Before the TV, the farmer led a simple life. As soon as he saw a commercial for something he could buy, he then borrowed money that he couldn't repay. Then his land was taken away from him and others became in debt of a lot of money because of the stupid TV. You can see evidence of this in Northeast Thailand. Also a lot of Chinese cheated the Esan people by getting them to trust them with borrowing money. After the Esan farmers couldn't pay the Chinese back, they took the land from them. That is why most of Thailand is owned by the Chinese.

As for the Thai TV, it just so happens that Thai Drama series are the closest thing for the people to understand. Thai people dare to do things that Lao would be ashamed or shy of doing. Due to this factor, it is more of a shock for Lao people to see it and that is why they watch the Thai TV shows. Laos is still behind when it comes to Media and Thai people are more talented because they have more money, technology, and skills they learn from teachers.

Soon Lao will get better. Hopefully Lao people in America will try to help the Lao in Laos.

I just think Laotian should learn and watch other neighbors Tv Show instead of Thailand.  And I think is actually better for laotian to learn chinese and vietnamese instead for a more profitable bussiness then our lost Thai from that side of the river.  Plus I think Laotian already knows alot of crap about Thailand there is nothing really special about them period.

I live in Thailand but I have to say there are many shows that worthy to watch than Thai Drama. Such as discoveries and many things, they do a good job too.

In Cambodia, they also watch Thai drama. When I went to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap last two years, I get surprised by seeing Khmer folks watch Thai TV.

You Guys may not know that Thai media is one of the best in SEA, preceded by Singapore. Moreover, we tend to watch free football match from Thai TV.

Personally, I feel that there are many things to do rather to watch TV such like reading and participating in many activities for youth.

I bring it to you now, just click your favorite topic and enjoy!

PS: I rate this program 9 from 10

I watched Vietnamese TV and I feel it was sucks and bored eventhough I don't understand what are they talking about.

I watched Chinese TV. China TV even worst as their culture & language is totally different from us. Thai TV is the best in the region and I think it's better to watch Thai TV then Vietnam or China. But anyway, Lao should watch Lao TV but if Lao TV is sucks then Thai TV is more close to our living so you can't missed it

Yeah thats pretty true, my mom and I wached some vietnamese dramas and we wouldnt need dubbing or subtitles cause we are half vietnamese and can understand what they are saying but if a Lao person who didn't know Vietnamese was to watch one of their drama's than their first thought that comes to mind is ..."what are they saying?" And sometimes I myself sometimes would be asking my mom what one particular word means. Some Vietnamese dramas are poorly made and sometimes have horrible plots so the only Vietnamese dramas my mom and i would watch are korean dramas dubbed in Viet. So I would completely agreee with you the only thing Lao people can watch thats foreign is Thai dramas and plus if Lao were to watch a foreign film the possibility of it being subbed or dubbed in thai is most likely biggrinbiggrin

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
